If you don’t have a blender you can do that. Mix it well with the water (don’t let it soak for too long) because that will carry the milk out of the coconutgrate, so you can squeeze it out. ?

why didnt you save? the water from inside the coconut and add that to your coconut milk? that would have added to your coconut milk flavor

This is the best way to get fresh coconut milk.I remember growing up in the grenadines looking at my mom and grandmother doing this, but? I prefer doing it this way its easier and faster. They did it the old school way lol love this its better then the nasty ones in the cans.

I usually put the coconut into plastic bag and then I smash concrete floor with it. Very quick and? easy technique how to open coconut.

I have never made coconut milk by blending,? I usually grate the coconut and soak it in 2 cups of water for about 20 minutes before use. It works well.

    Yes, you can.
Buy Organic, unsweetened coconut if possible.

1 cup? unsweetened, dried medium shredded coconut
4 cups filtered water…. Blend in blender until pieces are liquid and smooth.
It will make about 1 and 3/4 cuups, but can only it for 4-5 days.

To make smaller single batches, just adjust receipe to suit your needs.
