How did you transition into your juice fast? I am thinking of starting but most of the literature says to transition into it over a period of months as to not due any intestinal stress or damage.

Anxious to see your video with all of your recipes. Thank you for posting every day. I really enjoy watching your progress and it inspires me to get going!

@LiveFromTheFridge Well I did try and be good by cutting down on sugar prior to it, but I was back eating the “bad stuff” after that period (and gaining weight) and just started the juice fast with no transition at all. Yep cold turkey!

I figure the junk food is putting far more stress on your body that what a juice fast will do!

@dodteach Thanks for that, will be doing the video in two days time (Saturday over here in Australia). Appreciate your support!

I am fasting 2 days per week now. I have lost 20 pounds by fasting for 20 days and I’m keeping that off. On my fasting days, I drink about 8 ounces of fresh pineapple juice. The rest is water. Doing well. Cheers.

@wahopin keep up the good work. Pineapple juice only on your two day fast? Interesting. But sounds like it’s going well!

@lordlucifer Howdy, yes I exercise most days, walk for about 1 hour and gradually increasing the tempo of the walk as well. Simple but effective!

brilliant videos and well done you..im on day7 and have lost 9lb, my question is should i be doing the swf ? as ive read others do this to begin,i took laxatives for the first 3 days ,but have now stopped , ive been doing a mix of juice and veg but am finding some of the fruit way to much of a sugar overload {pineapples} especially make me very tired so im now going to do mainly vegetables,,id love to see the film fat sick and nearly dead but im in uk any suggestions as to how i can view it ..

  • overwhelmingtraffic

@comtton Well done on your weight loss to date, very cool. Sorry what is swf ? Wow you took laxatives. I didn’t do that. I would generally not recommend any supplements, drugs (that you are not already taking) on a juice fast. Still you are getting good results. More vegetables is generally recommended. Do a google search for fast sick and nearly dead. I think you may be able to buy the dvd. Or use netflix if that is in the uk. Re: tired, could just be the detox. Thanks for visiting

hi thanks for your reply swf……salt water flush…….drinking warm water and sea salt,, again others say they do this to flush out the toxins just wondering if you do or did this, this was the reasons i took the laxatives,as couldnt face drinking the salt, and no bowel movement for days now is this normal on the juice fast/feast

  • overwhelmingtraffic

@comtton Ahh gotcha, no I did nothing like that. I would say most people do not do anything like that beforehand, but it’s probably a personal thing. Well if you used laxitives it’s probably no surprise you have no bowel movement as juice only means most of what you are consuming is actually used by the body. I tend to “go” every 2 days or so currently, but there are periods where it’s daily. Please keep an eye on it. Did you consult your doctor before starting?

  • comtton

hi no i didnt and wouldnt consult my doctor about starting the juice fast, for a start our doctors in the uk probably wouldnt recommend doing a juice fast (doctors in the uk do tend to be a little stuffy) ,thanks again anyway for your reply and il keep reading watching your videos they help no end, im sure you could do a book with your own expierience of the juice fast, the highs and lows, and the recipies put me down for one if you ever do.!!!

@comtton You have to find the right doctor that is for sure. What I am saying is you should be careful when making big decisions like this to ensure you have all the facts. Doctors can help here. I appreciate your support and while I have no plans for a book yet, I’ll reserve the first copy for you if it ever gets written!!

    @overwhelmingtraffic

u need to weight train and eat more protien dense foods…walking is good but not in by itself…

  • overwhelmingtraffic

@vietguy808 Appreciate you taking the time to drop by, but there is not necessarily a need for me to use weights at all. Walking has worked well for me to date. As for more protein dense foods, there is no more protein dense foods than vegetables actually (and yes this includes meat). Granted a juice fast is not something you can or should stick to for the long term as it does not include the fibre from the fruit and vegetables, but it is one of the healthiest ways known to heal yourself.

  • vietguy808

well if u use weight and build muscle its easier to keep fat off ur body because muscle is an active tissue which burns fat all day long without training…all day..walking only burns calories when u do them….muscle burns calories all day long even if ur not using them…u just hve to feed them

  • overwhelmingtraffic

@vietguy808 Thanks again for dropping by. That certainly is one way of burning fat, but nutrition plays a far more important role. Proof here because I am now on day 54 and have lost close to 50 pounds (22.5 Kgs) doing no weight lifting/building muscle, changing my life. In an ideal world I guess you would focus on both. If you do not get your nutrition/eating sorted out, any weight you take off with vigorous weights (or by any means) will be put back on with the bad eating habits.
