Lush Cosmetics Presents: Indonesian Coconut Oil Buying Trip

Elisa and Emma from our Creative Buying Team – along with Reena, our Lush Times Designer – set out on an adventure to Indonesia to see where we get our extra virgin coconut oil from. It was a life-changing experience for them as they got to see what life is like for the people who make this luxurious oil. Visit www.lush.co.uk to read about the adventures of our Buying Team.

@Strawbimi You are immature to be calling someone an idiot due to YOUR ignorance. At 2:21 you see him chopping into the coconut and all the fluid is ending up in a muddy ditch.

This is such PR fluff. Seriously, do these people look like they’re REALLY benefiting from LUSH? LUSH is now a multinational company that makes millions of pounds in profits and I don’t think a great deal of that goes to these people, from what you can see in the video. I live in Asia and I see how these people get screwed over by multinationals like LUSH because they don’t realize what a raw deal they’re getting by selling their coconut oil at a price that is low for LUSH to pay. Look deeper!

Well they still do ALOT more than almost alot of other compaies. U know the ones that use millions of names so that we dont even realize that they participate in super unfair trade practices. I wouldnt judge unless u are someone who buys NOTHING with unfair trade practices……..even though I doubt u could even name half of the companies and products.
