Great review. I have the jamaican black castor and kinky curly so I agree.
I have found that aubreys organics work good for moisture on my hair also.

Your like me!! the only shampoo that doesn’t dry out my hair is Creme of nature. why did you stop using it?

I’ll have to try the JBCO shampoo….I have the same issue with shampoo and I too only had good experience with Creme of Nature. I have come to expect shampoos to dry out my hair.

@embracingnatural Sometimes, not always. Sometimes I like to use coconut oil before I do my shower routine and let it sit for 30 min or so.

@ashinkledinkle Well when I had a relaxer I came to the conclusion that “salon quality” meant better so I started buying Bed Head, Paul Mitchell, Redken, etc…then when I went natural I didn’t shampoo my hair for a long time….and did you know they’ve changed the formula now!? I was sad; I’ve been going to a bunch of BSS’s in my area to see if anyone has the old one.

@MegaHippychic I cowash daily and shampoo 1-2x a week, depending on my mood. I was using the JBCO one more b/c I’ve been doing mud treatments on my hair and I had to shampoo to get all that gunk out!

great review, i have the kinky curly, and yes to cucumbers, really want to try the JBCO line, but haven’t found where to buy it from as yet! Izzy is looking good!!!!

Hmmm….I definitely must try the Castor oil shampoo if it’s really that moisturizing. So far on my journey the most moisturizing shampoos I’ve found are KBB’s Conditioning Shampoo and Bee Mine’s Peppermint and Tea Tree Nourishing Shampoo. I’m forever on the hunt, lol.

KC Come Clean was weird for me. When I first did the BC, I couldn’t use it unless I did a pre poo first. As my hair has grown, it doesn’t strip and I don’t have to pre poo as long as I only use once per week. What’s up with that? LOL

And for as much as Yes to Cucumbers condish was once my go to conditioner, never did try the shampoo. Think that was because I had tried the Yes to Carrots shampoo and didn’t like it at all, so just stuck with the conditioners from that brand.

I completely agree with you on the Kinky Curly Come Clean! After I used it I thought “I can’t believe they are calling this a moisturizing shampoo.” My hair felt stripped. I definitely couldn’t use it weekly.

Great product review…I’m surprised you found Plant Shampoo at CVS. I live in CA and I have only seen it in a few beauty supplies. I have locs and this shampoo leaves my locs very hydrated and shiny. I haven’t done a review yet, but I plan to in the near future. ..and your hair looks great!

I love all your reviews, very imformative. I like your hair and the hair color looks great on you. I have long hair and am wanting to grow it longer, but you make me want to rock a short curly afro for myself!
