You can use it on your hair or skin since it’ all natural. I planned on using it only on my hair, yet it’s creamy like lotion so I’m going to use it on both. Best part is your hair won’t be yellow from the shea butter. Hope it works!

do you think the glycerine helped it remain creamy this time? i plan on making another batch today and i was thinking about adding a little distilled water (per innovative thinking’s recipe).

@1908prettylawyer The glycerin worked great! It was creamy today too and glossy w/no hint of the yellow in my hair. I love innovative’s vids! So if you don’t have the glycerin on hand, use the distilled water.

Does the honey make it sticky? I hope this works on maintaining moisture for my 4c hair. Your video was very informative. Thanks and be blessed!

@shedozi nope, just use a little…just a drop or less. It’s great! Experiment…it’s for you. Veg. Glycerin is really key to this.

I’m a newbie and have been looking for ideas for using shea butter. After you create your mixture where do you store it (counter, fridge, etc.) Thanks

Hi, rmccollough2! I store my under the bathroom sink. Be SURE to add the honey or tea tree oil. You have to have a preservative. Let me know if you have anymore questions 🙂 Remember, this is YOUR recipe, there is no right or wrong way. You’ll learn as you go what is right for your body and hair.

Thanks a lot for your videos on your shea butter recipe !
Can you tell me please what are the different natural preservatives we can add in the shea butter mix ?
I know for vitamin E and tea tree oil (I think) but what are the other ones ?
